In the most recent fundraising round, Kasikorn Bank and Cao Viet My’s family office also took part.

As part of its investing strategy, KKR has invested in KiotViet as part of its Asian private equity fund.

Equest Education Group, a Vietnamese provider of educational services, recently received funding from KKR to support its expansion aspirations. A $359 million round of financing for Masan MEATLife (formerly known as Masan Nutri-Science), the manufacturer of animal feed, and a $650 million round of financing for Vinhomes were also led by KKR as part of this arrangement.

KiotViet was established in 2014 to serve Vietnamese small- and medium-sized enterprises with cloud-based point-of-sale solutions. It also provides omnichannel business and management software solutions in addition to solutions for marketing, cash flow management, and inventory control.

According to the business, it presently has over 110,000 MSME clients, and that figure is rapidly increasing.

A B2B procurement marketplace and integrated logistics services for its merchants are now part of the company’s growing list of services. Additionally, it intends to use its platform to provide users a variety of financial services alternatives, including lending and payment options.

According to Jungle Ventures managing partner David Gowdey, the addition of this extra money would enable them to provide a wider range of services to small enterprises, who are a substantial contribution to the GDP of Southeast Asia as a whole.

In its Series A fundraising round earlier this year, KiotViet received support from the Indonesian unicorn Traveloka and the Singapore-based VC firm Jungle Ventures.
